Tripura Police must arrest the rapists immediately!

BJP ruled Tripura CM must break his silence over the continuous rapes and gangrapes in the state!

Tripura under BJP has become an extremely unsafe state for women. Several incidents of rapes and gang rapes have been reported by state media. In the month of July only, a series of rapes and gangrapes were reported in Tripura. A 62 years old women at Sepaipara under Lefunga police station, 7 years old child at Teliamura, Married women at Champa Howerh of Khowai District, 17 yrs old school girl was gang raped by 5 men at Teiliamura, A college student was forced rape at Dasda, Kanchanpur, North Tripura. The house of the rape victim of Julaibari under South Tripura district was attacked in order to pressurize her to withdraw the complaint is a pattern that can be seen throughout the country from Unnao to Araria to Tripura. . Repeated threats are being given to the victims!

AISA representatives held protest against the incidents of sexual assault and demanded that proper action must be taken against the culprits of sexual assaults on women, legal-economic help must be provided to the survivors of rape and gender sensitisation must be introduced in school and college curriculum.

The Tripura CM has pressurised investigation over a fake tweet, but he is yet to speak on the rapes in his state.

This is outrageous. In the midst of the pandemic, the BJP and the police is active in arresting students and activists, but the same zeal is not shown in nabbing the perpetrators of rape crimes. Tripura Police must immediately arrest the perpetrators and ensure safety of the victims. Tripura CM must break his silence and ensure justice for the victims.

Govt must provide financial, legal supports to the rape survivor and other social securities to survive and independent in the society.
