SSC Exam Scam : No assurance of Enquiry Yet

It is now five days that thousands of students are protesting at SSC Head Quarters in Delhi against paper leak and corruptions in SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) tier 2 exams jeld between 17th to 22nd February, 2018. Answer keys of the ongoing paper emerged in public in social media through the whistleblower platform SSCtube. The SSC authorities had to halt the exam for 17th for sometime. In spite of this, no enquiry has not yet been ordered either by the central government or the SSC authority. It is clear that vested interests are operating within SSC authority and the private vendor Sify who are conducting the exam. The SSC directly comes under the central government. And the onus lies with them to come out clean on this. But unfortunately, the central government is showing no interest in proving its credentials of transparency and good governance to the youth. After four days of protest Delhi BJP leader Manoj Tiwari went to meet the protesters. When the students have already given their memorandum with all the evidences to the SSC authorities, it is needed to ask what more was Manoj Tiwari looking for when he went to meet the protesters. Why didnt he give any concrete assurance to the students?

The Modi government’s claims of providing one crore new jobs to the youth every year has been exposed thoroughly. Now the government is busy counting ‘self-employment’ chosen out of destitute in statistics of employment provided by the government. Recruitment processes of all government jobs are halted for years. Minister of the central government has himself reported that there has been 89% reduction in central government jobs since the Modi government came to power. And whenever any recruitment exam happens, such scams have become normalcy. Is the SSC scam not comparable to Vyapam Scam that too happened under supervision of the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh?

AISA demands that the Central Government must immediately set up high level enquiry on the SSC Scam recently revealed. Until those responsible in paper leak and corruption are punished and nexus between SSC officials and Sify exposed, a free evaluation in any future recruitment exam can not be guaranteed.
